Computing Curriculum

Year 11 GCSE Computer Science (OCR)

This GCSE is a specialist computer science course, which combines two written exams and a programming project. This course is very technical and requires the students to develop logical thinking and problem solving skills in addition to acquisition of knowledge in software development.

The course comprises of the following:-

  • Paper One – Computer Systems (1hr 30mins) – Written Exam
  • Paper Two – Computational Thinking, Algorithms and Programming Techniques (1hr 30mins) – Written Exam
  • Programming Project – 20 hour programming project using Python.
